Now that the Supreme Court of Canada has ruled the wearing of the niqab "constitutional" for swearing one's oath of Canadian citizenship, I have some comment to make on this aspect of Canadian fashion culture (and also with regard to our new Prime Minister's commentary on contemporary timeliness):

Now that the Supreme Court of Canada has declared wearing "niqab" constitutional for taking the Oath of Citizenship, I have some cartoons making commentary, as a Canadian woman, on this aspect of my Canadian culture. As a Canadian fashion choice, just like the plaid workshirt of the redneck, the black makeup of the Goth, the polyester pants of the pensioners, the back combed hair of sixties boomers, the black rimmed glasses of the geek, the dredge locks of the skater, and so on, the niqab as a fashion choice for Canadian women is also fair game for satire, mockery and humour:
